Monstress, No. 3 - Sana Takeda, Marjorie M. Liu

I'm continuing on with the Monstress series, I had reviewed the first two issues here. This is the third issue and it's even more intriguing. We start to see a little bit of what is inside our protagonist, just enough to freak me out but it doesn't give away what it is just yet. There's a lot of mystery around her and a growing sense of fear, but not that run in the woods fear. It's more of that "kill it, kill it with fire!" fear that surrounds her, which is just different and much more interesting on account of that. I just love it.

Then the art is just beautiful.

I love the chaotic and war torn woman-run world. I'm so tired of woman-run utopias. I mean, it's a nice thought, but I love seeing another option out there, something new.
